Vesinikutehnoloogia suurprojektide huvi kaardistamine (H-IPCEI)

Eesti panustab üle-euroopalist strateegilist tähtsust omavate suurprojektide toetajana kolme valdkonda – roheline vesinik, mikroelektroonika ning pilvetehnoloogiad. Oleme  alustanud siseriiklikke huvikaardistustega, mille eesmärgiks on selgitada välja, kas ja milliseid vastavaid investeeringuid Eesti ettevõtete osalusel ette valmistatakse.

 „Vesiniku kasutuselevõtt energiasalvestajana on osa rohe- ja innovatsioonipöördest. Kui soovime olla rahvusvaheliselt konkurentsivõimelised, ja seda me soovime, siis peame mõtlema julgelt ja osalema vesinikutehnoloogia arendamises,“

Euroopa eesmärgiks on luua terviklik ahel – tootmine, ladustamine, jaotamine ja tarbimine ning Eestil võib siin olla olulisi panustamisvõimalusi. Ideekorjele ei oodata ainult vesiniku tootmisega seotud projekte, vaid ka laiemalt uuenduslikke arendusi nagu näiteks vesiniku säilitamisküsimuste lahendamine või kasutamise lihtsamaks muutmine mõnes konkreetses eluvaldkonnas.

Vesiniku IPCEI projektide otsingu raames kaardistame ettevõtteid, kes on ette valmistamas innovatiivset suurprojekti, mis toetaks oluliselt tervikliku puhta vesiniku väärtusahela käivitumist kogu Euroopa Liidus.

Vesiniku IPCEI huvikaardistus koosnes kahest etapist. Esimeses etapis EAS koondas saadud informatsiooni ning korraldas edasised läbirääkimised sobivate projektidega edasiliikumiseks vajalike osapooltega nii Eestis kui Euroopa Liidus. Peale projekti sobivuse osas vastastikkuse mõistmiseni jõudmist esitatakse teises etapis projekti põhjalik kirjeldus.

Esimene etapp on lõppenud, laekus 21 huviteatist, milles anti teada soovist investeerida u. 1,5 miljardit eurot.

Elcogen AS • Developing Nickel (Ni) and Cobalt (Co) free cells together with optimised stack able to operate in reversible SOFC/SOEC mode (4th generation of SOCs).
• Optimising manufacturing process for SOC mass production through new manufacturing processes combined with AI and Industry 4.0 implementation.
Eleon AS • Development of Hydrogen energy production and storage system based on electrolysis technology  integrated in the tower part of the Eleon 10+ MW offshore wind turbine.
ESTIKO Energia OÜ • Transformation of Tartu  into a regional Hydrogen Hub, HyRaadi, which successfully applies hydrogen in a number of different capacities, providing a blueprint for other smaller regional areas in Europe to develop similar hydrogen hubs
Green Technologies Development OÜ • Transform the Northern Port of Paldiski to a “green port”
• Deployment of 24MW PEM electrolyser developed by Linde
• First industrial deployment of hydrogen powered train ferry developed by Wärtsila.
• Development of hydrogen bunkering terminal to enable cost-efficient large-scale transportation of hydrogen
• Substitute fossil fuel vehicles with hydrogen-powered forklifts, trucks and locomotives to transport cargo both within as well as to and from the port.
MTÜ Idanik (OÜ Cumulus Consulting, Tartu BT Park OÜ and OÜ Nordland) • Launch of green hydrogen production and establishing the hydrogen full value chain in Ida-Virumaa and Narva region as the first activity to establish the Narva Hydrogen Valley
• Expanding the green hydrogen fueling capabilities for the TEN-T network while establishing the local hydrogen value chain
Olsson Green OÜ • Creating the first Hydrogen Valley in Central Estonia – First industrial deployment of storing solar energy in hydrogen through the process of electrolysis in Estonia.
• Unique software solution for supporting the management process of hydrogen storage, electricity generation, production facility and electricity grid balancing
P-Truck OÜ Development of green sustainable combined solar and wind electricity storage complexes
Sillamäe Sadam AS • Establishing green hydrogen and ammonia production plant, that will use electricity from renewable sources of the local biofuel CHP and from electricity grid system connection
Skeleton Technologies OÜ • Integration of Superbattery technology as a standard component into fuel cell drivetrains, exemplified by applications in stationary energy storage systems, automotive applications and rail transport
• Development and scaled production of Superbattery systems designed for fuel cell support applications, as product group “Fuel Cell Boost”
Tallinna Sadam AS Building of :
• On-shore-power supply for cruise vessels at Old City Harbour of Tallinn
• The ice-class ferry on hydrogen
• Hydrogen export-import terminal in Pakriranna, Paldiski
• Large-scale hydrogen refuelling station (HRS)
Varmata AS • Building of  a hydrogen production plant;  hydrogen station and gas pipelines between companies which have biogas potential.
• Industrial tests in the final phase of the technologies to produce biomethane for H2 production.
Vesiniku Tehnoloogiad OÜ • Development and construction of hydrogen production plant/refueling station using plasma-chemical production method, to supply hydrogen to the road transport sector
• Development and construction of SAF (e-kerosene) fuel production plant, using plasma-chemical method to produce hydrogen and carbon black as vital components for e-Fuels such as e-kerosene.
•  Establishment of a pan-European network for the implementation of plasma-chemical methodologies for Hydrogen production and the exchange of knowledge
