In 2018, Estonia's exports to Sweden amounted to 1.58 Billion Euro, making Sweden the second most important export partner in the world.
Prefabricated wooden buildings is the second largest product group and the interest to build in wood is increasing. Steel, concrete and other construction materials as well as architectural and technical consultancy service providers also constitutes an important part of Estonia´s export to Sweden.
The Swedish economy and construction sector have now entered a slowdown phase. However, the public investments in kindergartens, service housing and railways expect to remain high and 83 % of the Swedish municipalities are reporting housing shortage. So, what might be the opportunities and challenges in this new market landscape?
