Enterprise Estonia – Carrying the Role of Estonian Space Office

Each country - big or small, old or young, located in the east or west - generally wants to be successful and to provide best of the best living conditions towards its inhabitants. In order to be successful tomorrow one must always make right decisions today. We believe that success in long perspective can only be achieved by focusing on innovation and new technologies - among them, there is also a very special place for space technologies.

It is probably quite unreasonable to contribute hard into launching industry, because Estonia is a very small country. But when talking about some contribution into global remote sensing projects, data processing and development of several downstream services would be the areas of some potential for Estonian space related companies.

We take our scientists successful participation in former USSR space projects since 1960-s as a part of our technological legacy and we believe there can be developed wide variety of useful space related services and applications for both - public and private sector.

There have also been signed a Cooperation Agreement between Estonian Government and European Space Agency on June 2007 for PECS period and possible membership of ESA in the future. Enterprise Estonia carries also the leading role for covering main liabilities concerning this agreement from Estonian side.

Enterprise Estonia acts also as a national contact office for space related entrepreneurial services with providing services from funding, assisting, representing and intermediating information between Estonian space related companies and international private and public sector organizations.
