Preparations for the structural funds for 2007-2013

The new 7-year structural funds’ programming period commences as of 2007, bringing about changes in the rules of using the structural funds. Through 2007-2013 EEK 53.2 billion will be directed to Estonia.

The basis for using the structural funds is the National Strategic Reference Framework 2007-2013 and area-based operational programmes which you will find at http://www.struktuurifondid.ee/. The operational programmes have been approved by the Government and the European Commission.

The names of the operational programmes and the ministries leading the development of the operational programmes are as follows:
• Operational Programme for development of the economic environment – Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications;
• Operational Programme for development of human resources – Ministry of Education and Research
• Operational Programme for development of living environment – Ministry of the Environment.

On the basis of these documents Enterprise Estonia jointly with the ministries has started preparing the regulations and programmes for the new period.
