The receipt of the applications is terminated.
The tourism product development programme is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
The objective of tourism product development measure is the increasing of international competitiveness of Estonia as tourism destination through the development of innovative tourism products, with the help of which the travel motivation for visiting Estonia and extending the visiting time is created.
The sub-objective of the measure is the development of tourism products contributing to the decrease of seasonality.
On the basis of the objectives of the measure the investments to the three sectors out of the measure of major projects are supported:
- The complex thematic centres and attractions directed to the visitors, including the tourism products and nature tourism products related to the provision of active vacation services;
- Tourism products and services based on national peculiarity and traditions;
- Development of objects of architectural value for the provision of tourism products.
The preliminary applications will be accepted from 29 September 2008 and the final date of submission is 25 March 2009.
The amount of grant is 1 910 000 – 3 200 000 EUR (30 000 000 – 50 000 000 EEK).
The self-financing required in the project is at least 70% of the eligible costs.
The period of implementation of project activities is maximum 36 months, but not later than 31 August 2015.
