Tourism awareness and training programme

The tourism awareness and training programme is co-financed by the European Social Fund. No grant can be applied within the programme, but it is possible to participate in various trainings and activities presuming the quality of tourism products and services.
Objectives of tourism awareness and training programme
- To increase the competitiveness of tourism sector, by introducing the principles of saving tourism wide-scale;
- To increase the awareness of tourism operators in the field of quality management of tourism product and service;
- To enlarge the training opportunities of tourism sector in the fields where these have been limited up to now.
What does the programme involve?
The programme involves the organisation of quality programme of the Estonian tourism companies, application of the system of Green Key, trainings in the sector of tourism marketing and nature, culture and saving tourism. Various training series, seminars and information days are carried out within the programme.
The cooperation partners of the programme in the course of several years have been the non-profit organisation Estonian Rural Tourism, Pärnu College of Tartu University, non-profit organisation Estonian Association for Quality and Centre for Development Programs EMI-ECO, South Estonian Tourism Foundation, OÜ Consumetric, Continuum Group OÜ and several other organisations and associations related to the sector.
All tourism developers, entrepreneurs and associations of entrepreneurs are expected to find new ideas for their everyday work.
