The development of regional colleges is financed from the Estonian state budget. The grant can be applied on an on-going basis and only for the implementation of the projects entered to the list of the action plan to be confirmed by the Minister for Regional Affairs.
Objective of the regional college grant
The objective of the programme is to support the development and strengthening of the regional colleges of the universities as regional competence centres through the sectoral specialisation.
Who can apply for the grant?
The programme is meant for the co-financing of the projects and investments of 8 regional colleges of the universities (Pärnu, Türi and Narva Colleges of Tartu University and Viljandi Culture Academy, Kuressaare and Virumaa College of Tallinn University of Technology and Haapsalu and Rakvere Colleges of Tallinn University).
For what the grant is provided?
The grant is provided for the creating of development strategies of colleges, (international) cooperation projects, development of knowledge-intensive services, preparation of training programmes, updating of infrastructure.
How big is the grant?
The minimum amount of the grant is 200 000 per project and up to 85% of the eligible costs are compensated.
